To:          ALL Ministers, Preachers, Leaders, Officers and Members

From:    Circuit Superintendent

Date:     September 09, 2018

Greetings and blessings to all my brothers and sisters in Christ. Grace and peace from God our father and his Son our Redeemer – Jesus Christ. May we be encouraged to know that He who began a good work in us is faithful to bring it to completion

Staffing

While Rev. Richards (Bishop) has been able to make some progress in communicating with the Figi Conference, there is still insufficient clarity as to enable our planning.

Candidature

The Bishop has identified September 30 at Chauncey for the first Trail Service of Bro. Jerand as a candidate for the ministry. His second trial service will be in January at the District Ccouncil in Grenada. This service will take place at 5.00 pm. Let us come out and give support to our brother.

Recognition Service

Please remember the service of Recognition for Bros. Emil Aaron Dougan and Jerand Phills and Sis Rhonda Stapleton which will be on Tuesday 25, 5.00 p.m. at Kingstown. This would also be the occasion for the commissioning of Sis Christobel Ashton and Bro Jerand as commissioned lay workers in the Circuit.

Circuit Youth Rally

The annual Circuit Youth Rally takes place at the Campden Park Netball Court, opposite the Bethel High School on Saturday, September 29, at 4:00 p.m. under the theme “Youth on a Mission: Journeying to Christian Perfection”. Rooted Methodist Dance Ministry, SVG’s Young Gospel Artiste Caywama Edwards and HEART Worship are all expected to be ministering. Two of our youth will be sharing the word. THIS IS NOT ONLY FOR YOUTH BUT FOR THE WHOLE CHURCH. Let us worship and witness together with our youth.

Zonal Coordinators

As at September 1, 2018 our Youth Coordinators are assigned as follows:

  • Zone 1- Bro. Jerand Phills
  • Zone 2- Sis. Janine John
  • Zone 3 – Sis. Rhonda Stapleton

We give God thanks for Bro. Emil Dougan and his time of service as Circuit youth coordinator and pray God’s blessings on him.

Church year 2018-19

For the Church year 2018-19 we will work deliberately on our membership both in record keeping and seeking to engender and encourage persons to revisit the commitment made at confirmation “to seek a deeper experience in Christ”. We will continue seeking to encourage and foster the kind of community where authentic relationship with Christ is encouraged and enabled.

It is also anticipated that we will continue working to develop our evangelistic thrust. October 22-26 is earmarked as the Circuit week of prayer for the Nation. Details will be provided, but again we will be inviting our members to be deliberate in reaching out in prayer to various persons in our community. On the 26th we will also have a series of open air services as we seek to reach others for Christ.

Youth Encuentro 2019

Youth Encuentro which was initially scheduled for July 2018, is now scheduled for July 22-29, 2019 Belize City, Belize under the theme, “#Methodission: Forever Fired Up for Christ!” Our Circuit has been allotted ten (10) spaces. The list previously approved would be reviewed and fundraisers planned as we prepare to participate in this spiritually invigorating experience.

In Christ Service
